Peter Montgomery

Peter Montgomery Prints

In addition to the paintings in the galleries, Peter also has the following range of prints taken from his original oil paintings:

Giclées:

Giclée is a French term, in this case meaning “spray of ink”. Peter prints copies of his paintings using a high quality ink jet printer onto a variety of good quality A4 papers. Larger sizes can be ordered by Peter from commercial printers. In that way individual copies of his paintings can be produced to the requirements of customers.

Limited Edition Prints:

There are three different Limited Edition Prints of Lincoln available, from Peter’s original oil paintings. All are individually checked, signed and numbered by Peter. The offset lithograph images are printed on high quality satin coated card. The size of each sheet is about 21” x 16.5” and the size of the printed image is about 17.5” x 13”. The un-mounted prints cost £20 each and are wrapped in clear cellophane and protected by a cardboard tube for transit. In that way customers can choose their own mounts and frames to suit themselves.

Letter Cards:

Peter has had four different letter cards printed, by a high quality commercial printer, from his original oil paintings. The letter cards are A5 size, with blank pages insides and a description of the painting scene on the back. The cards cost £1.50 each and are:

1. The Adoration of the Magi:

500 printed (All sold).

This card was based on a Flemish painting
in St. Germain’s church, Scothern. That
painting was identical in composition to an
engraving by Hendrick Goltzius, in 1594.

The cards were produced to help raise funds
for the conservation of the original painting in Scothern.

2. Castle Square, Lincoln:

This card was taken from one of Peter’s
original oil paintings. The commission was
for a painting measuring 60’’ x 48’’, which
took Peter 12 months to complete.
