This is the second of Peter’s Limited Edition prints, taken from an original oil painting. Peter was commissioned to paint this scene of Lincoln Cathedral, from Castle Square, and the original painting measured 122 cm x 153 cm. Naturally, that canvas was far too large to paint outdoors, so Peter worked from numerous sketches in his Scothern Studio. Images of the development of the studio painting can be seen in the website section “Peter at Work”.
